Alison is the Director of the British Council in India, leading operations in English, education, and arts to strengthen the educational and cultural ties between India and the UK. With over 25 years of experience at the British Council, Alison has held numerous senior roles across the Asia-Pacific region, including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, UAE, and Thailand. Her commitment to fostering international collaboration is evident in her work on initiatives like The Climate Connection, which brings together young people, policymakers, and sector specialists globally to address climate change through education and cultural engagement. Alison holds an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of London and was awarded an MBE in 2014 for her contributions to English education in India.
