Aditi Rao Hydari, Actress

​

Aditi is a distinguished Indian actress and classical dancer known for her compelling performances across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema. Beyond her acting career, Aditi is a trained classical singer and has lent her voice to several film songs. She is also deeply involved in social work, supporting various causes related to children’s welfare, education, and empowerment. Aditi’s commitment to social causes is reflected in her active participation with organizations that focus on these issues, and she often uses her platform to raise awareness and advocate for change. She has also made a significant impact on the international stage, attending prestigious events like the Cannes Film Festival as an ambassador for L’Oreal Paris. Her recent work includes the acclaimed series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” on Netflix, showcasing her continued excellence and dedication to her craft.

Jahnavi Phalkey, Founding Director, Science Gallery Bengaluru

​

Jahnavi is a filmmaker and historian of science and technology. She is the Founding Director of Science Gallery Bengaluru and Sir Asutosh Mukherjee Visiting Professor at the National Institute of Advanced Studies; and supervises PhD students at King's College London. A woman of many talents, she has authored various books, is on the editorial board for the British Journal for the History of Science and History and Technology and is the director - producer of the documentary film Cyclotron (2020).

Janaka Pushpanathan, Director South India, British Council

​

Janaka Pushpanathan currently leads British Council’s work in South India, and she has over 20 years of experience in the Arts, Education and Enterprise sectors. Prior to this, she has co-founded education, learning and development, and Ed tech start-ups, which have won the Red Herring Top 100 and the NASSCOM Top 50 awards in the innovation category. Janaka has been a part of British Council’s think tank on Intercultural Dialogue and was also the Regional Head of the United States India Education Foundation (USIEF) for South India.
